Jazz For The People
Forty-four years ago pianist Grant Graham founded the Jazz for the People concert series. Drummer Sandy MacKay has been the Music Director since 1986. This free monthly concert series features local and regional jazz musicians. The mandate was to present this sophisticated music in a setting that was accessible and in a manner that demonstrated the many nuances and colours of the genre.
